Much rather have the wood look, thx for the info. Yes, I was thinking that about D&S too but I'm not inquiring about price, not asking for worth, just providing pics only for informational purposes.I could have saved the pics then uploaded them again to AK, but, like I said, for info purposes only.will re-read rules. As I read the rules, ANY links to CL or buy/sell belong in D&S, even if for ID purposes only, correct? Which boxes are compatible with this list? Openbox v8s channel list update. I have coppied and pasted what it said about this list and have E Mailed them but not had a response yet. The box is OK for what I need it for, thanks for your help. Google AJsat. I would have spent the money and get a better box.Been on AJsat and there doesn't seem to be one for this box although there is one for the X5 F6 but not sure if this will work. Aug 18, 2017 - Very attractive and well-reviewed Boston Acoustics 3-Driver Tower (Floorstanding) Speakers, solidly built and in excellent condition. It was already moved, Moderator? Is that true, ANY link, even if for ID only, goes in D&S? I have owned the VR30's and now I have 2 sets of the TOTL VR40's. I have never heard the earlier version T-930 but it is my understanding that the VR series were an improvement over the T series. Bluetooth receiver? While having new members is fantastic - welcome to the [H], atheompson - one tip comes in handy: before you jump into a new thread you've never been in, make sure you look at the date of the last post - if you look at the post just above the one you made you'll see that last post was made on April 27, 2012 meaning over 4 years ago. Although this would also only work 1 by 1. There is an option in the phone to select Send --> Via Bluetooth. Lg flip phone transfer pictures. The VR series are the last speakers made in the US, after this BA underwent restructuring or sold out and manufacturing was sent to Asia somewhere. Most Boston Acoustics fans agree that the Lynnfield made VR series are the best BA ever made. They have the Lynnfield Massachusetts made cabinets which are very well made, heavily braced and acoustically dead. I KNOW the cabinets are better than the T series and I am almost sure the drivers are as well. I absolutely LOVE my VR40's which is why I bought a 2nd set. Outstanding well defined bass and handle lots of watts yet efficient enough to sound excellent with lower wattage amps. I guess what I am saying is I don’t think the T-930 will be an improvement over your VR30's. Try to get your hands on a set of the VR40's if you can, the cabinets are noticeably nicer and better than the VR30’s. They are awesome speakers that you can usually buy at a great price even though they retailed for $1,400.00 when new. Problem is they don't show up too often. Here's a completed Ebay sale of a set of VR40's. ![]() I picked up a pair of VR30's at Goodwill yesterday, and as I posted in the owner's thread, I'm very impressed with them. I am curious, however, and hoping that someone with expertise in speaker design and science can answer a question: why in this speaker is the tweeter placed between the two mid/bass drivers and only approximately 24' above floor level? Now, these speakers are missing the base 'feet' that they are supposed to have connected, but the remaining one that was hanging on by one screw (which I removed) was only about 1.5' high. So I guess I'm wondering if this speaker was designed with a tweeter with a vertical dispersement to compensate for the fact that it sits about 14' below the average seated ear level, or should I explore options to raise the speaker so the tweeter is closer to my ear level? Thanks for the response. This is what I suspected. Are they any tower'stands' or platforms recommended? I don't think tilting this cabinet is an appealing option. The reasoning behind the tweeter below was to act as a point source between the mid and tweeter. I had them in a past setup and you will only need to raise them another 3-4 inch's as Boston tuned them that way.You can get some after market out riggers made that will work well and as Bill suggested adjust the rake upward but I always found they sounded best pointed straight ahead (they have very wide dispersion) and about 28-32 inchs from the rear of the speakers and side walls. I had a blast with them and they are very good speakers, good find. The reasoning behind the tweeter below was to act as a point source between the mid and tweeter. That all makes sense, I knew there had to be a reason for the tweeter placement, but finding any info on this speaker on the 'net is difficult. Even on AK info is scarce, and I'm surprised BA has no legacy page, considering the many excellent speakers in their long history. I'll experiment with pulling them further from the front wall, but they sound great at 24'.
